About Me

59180042Laura Le Feuvre is an experienced yoga teacher offering classes for the very beginner to the advanced student. Training student teachers and mentoring new qualified teachers.

Based in Twickenham, Strawberry Hill, Richmond and surrounding areas.

A British Wheel of Yoga teacher (BWY Dip) and a BWY Diploma Course Tutor (NQDCT), Pregnancy Yoga Teacher (Triyoga). Qualified in Well Woman Yoga Therapy, Yoga Therapy for Insomnia, and Registered General Nurse (Belfast City Hospital).  I am a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Meditation instructor, a member of the REP’s UK Level 3 and am fully insured.  I have a wealth of experience in teaching yoga to people from all walks of life – Primary school children, teenagers, the chronically and terminally ill, professional sportsmen and women, full time mothers, toddlers, the elderly, long distant runners, pregnant and post natal women.

I have had the honour to study, practice and be inspired by various teaching styles and disciplines of yoga.  My own style of teaching draws on these influences but draws mainly from the ISHTA lineage. That is, an individualised practice that encourages us to embrace the present moment through good postural alignment and yogic breathing whilst safely exploring the postures.  Starting with a steady  and safe foundation both strength and flexibility develop with a practice that is adapted to meet the individual.

Looking back at my first yoga class over 15 years ago, I was both amazed and surprised at how I felt – amazing!  Energised yet relaxed, more alert and focused.  The weekly class soon developed over the years into a daily practice and it’s this practice which has supported me through the ups and downs of life: grief, uncertainty, self judgement and at the same time appreciating the sparks of joy.  The practice of breathing before reacting, creating a pause to enable me to choose a response that is both helpful and uplifting.

What inspires me?  My beautiful children of course.  Meditation.  The fact that my practice changes daily and to embrace, not fight against it and so much more….Learning….I heard once “…*there is nothing to master but everything to endlessly explore…exploring unconscious sources of tension and in this discovery go further in releasing mental and physical sources of self limitation….” Another main source of inspiration…those who come to practice with me…bringing, sharing, having faith and fun!  Eastern philosophy says that human beings have forgotten what they came here for.  We are both spiritual and material beings, you cannot neglect either dimension and expect the other one to flourish, yoga provides us with tools to live in this world, to breathe deeply and to experience this life more fully and gracefully.

Whatever brings you to yoga, whether its physical, rehabilitation after injury or illness, stress management or pregnancy, my aim is to deepen your connection between the body, mind and spirit and believe it is here in this deep connection where true healing and wholeness emerges.

“You have a wonderful teaching style, we benefit form individual attention and you have a passion that really comes across”   Heidi, Richmond
“I love Laura’s classes. She is such an intuitive teacher, always knowing exactly how I’m feeling and she is so supportive. Her classes are challenging, always different but yet at the same time building on postures and techniques already learnt. Above all they are fun and I always feel so healthy and invigorated afterwards! I am now completely hooked on yoga thanks to Laura.”    Camilla, Twickenham
